Buster Levi Gallery is pleased to present OBJECTS an exhibition that features the work of gallery artists. The show will include work by John Allen, Ada Pilar Cruz, Tim D’Acquisto, Barbara Smith Gioia, Pat Hickman, Grace Kennedy, Bill Kooistra, Martee Levi, Maria Pia Marrella, Ursula Schneider, Nancy Steinson, and Grey Zeien. The show will run from March 6 through March 29, 2020. The opening for the show will be on Friday March 6, 2020 from 6-8:30pm.

All artists work on a variety of ideas. They begin projects and at times are interrupted by other responsibilities. As the time passes, different endeavors take their place – commissions, consignments or jobs. The older projects get either forgotten or the thread of that particular imaginative idea is no longer the artist’s focus. The beginnings of that image remain, though, evident in initial drawings, a finished model, or a fragment that had culminated into a completed work that was not developed into a series based on that concept. Its importance remains and it is not thrown away. It exists in the artist’s periphery and at times continues to have a hold in their subconscious/consciousness. Many undeveloped projects get discarded as an artist outgrows them – but there are the ones that linger.

This exhibition is about those objects: the ones that we keep. The works in this show were generated by those ideas that lingered and stayed.
